The stationary metering system is designed to discharge tank trucks. For the commercial trade use GEA Diessel offers a technical version which fulfils the demands of OIML R117 (the qualification approval of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Brunswick is available). That means: The system is officially recognized by the responsible Weights & Measures Offices. Essential features of this metering system are the design of the air eliminator and the arrangement of the centrifugal pump. The positioning of the pump in the flow direction after the air eliminator increases the separation rate of air locks and, thus, considerably contributes to improve the measuring accuracy. Dependent on the smallest possible intake quantity, the metering system obtains a measuring accuracy which is better than ± 0.5 % of the volume received. The modern customary truck-mounted tanks of a capacity from 5,000 litres up to 15,000 litres each grant a measuring incertainity of less than ± 0.15 %.
Special features:
A new detection method for air bubbles enables an optional optimization of the flow permitting an essential rise in the volume flow without increasing the measuring fault. This technique offers some advantages for the discharge of tank trucks even if several tanks will have to be emptied simultaneously. This new method considerably reduces the risk of faulty measurements caused by a large part of air in critical phases of the milk reception process.
