DI-WAVE™ is a combined metering system working on the basis of sound velocity, temperature, and density to determine the concentration of multiphase liquids such as beer, wine, etc.
The metering system type DI-WAVE™ consists of two metering devices for density and sound as well as of the control and display panel for indication, parameterization and calibration, and signal output.
The measurement serves for monitoring and adjustment of the product concentration, e.g. for original wort, alcohol, extract for beverages such as beer, wine, and sparkling wine. Additional measuring variables increase the accuracy of the concentration measurement.
Usually, the density meter is installed into a by-pass line. If the density is measured in-line, accounting data can be determined in addition to the measured analysis values.
Technical advantages of the DI-WAVE™ in summary:
- Increased metering accuracy due to reduced influences
- Connection of a CO2 meter
- Up to 32 sorts can be selected externally
- Profibus communication as option
- Accounting function when using an in-line density meter
Applications:
- Filling and monitoring of containers (on beer trucks as well)
- Batch monitoring in the filling area (bottle filler, keg filler etc.)
- Yield documentation in the filtration or in the cold wort area
- Detection of the starting concentration for wort boiling (between lauter tun and wort copper)
