In One Stage to the Ideal Beverage Water

Oxygen in soft drinks affects the preservability and the taste. Therefore, it is important to use deaerated water for the production of soft drinks. The GEA Diessel 1-stage water deaerating system, type DIOX-1™, achieves a good value of residual oxygen and is thus especially suitable for these and some further applications. For higher demands we recommend the use of the DIOX-2™ or VARIDOX™.

The water, which should be deaerated, is transfered finely spread through a spray nozzle into the tank, which is under a high vacuum. With it the largest part of oxygen is extracted. A vacuum pump made of stainless steel keeps up the vacuum. Alternatively, the supplied water can be mixed with CO2 before the deaeration to get a better result. CO2 increases the release of oxygen. A discharge pump feeds the deaerated water to the consumer.

The system is cleaned via the product path. In addition, an optimum cleaning effect is obtained by a spray ball in the deaerating tank.
